Tired of NEVER seeing queer love stories in Valentine's Day cards or in any of the 504k retellings of fairy tales? We're working on that. Once you emerge from your chocolate-induced sugar coma, join us for a reimagined classic that all audiences will love.
What's the music?
We'll present and abbreviated and semi-staged concert of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," retold with a queer and gender fluid cast.
In this iteration of the classic fairy tale, Cinderella can only be her true self in private, until her fairy godmother suggests meeting a certain someone at the ball. Similarly, the Prince, who has always been told who they are by loyal (if misguided) palace subjects, begins to truly understand their identity once they see their love reflected in Cinderella.
Cinderella...Heather Jones (she/them)
Prince...Michaela Wolz (they/them)
Fairy Godmother...Allison Gish (she/her)
Stepsisters...John Kanekleides (he/him) & Spencer Viator (he/him)
Piano...Felix Jarrar (he/him)
