Tucson Duo Project is a flute, bassoon, and piano band in Southern Arizona specializing in and dedicated to expanding the repertoire and possibilities of duos and doubling duos with piano. Playing in accessible and inclusive venues as well as traditional concert halls, they play music that spans genres and time periods as well as original instrumentation to forge new soundscapes of piccolo, flute, bassoon, contrabassoon, and piano. From the highest of the highs on piccolo and piano to the lowest of the low notes on piano and contrabassoon, Mindi Acosta, Cassandra Bendickson, and Meily Mendez are committed to the story of music in all of its extremes.
