About

I have a genuine excitement and enthusiasm for the music and instruments I play that is palpable to my audiences. While I consider myself a specialist in Baroque and Classical period performance practice (i.e., playing the music on the instruments for which it was written), I have retained my passion for playing music from Beethoven and beyond. For a recent performance I played both my Baroque and modern cellos and played music ranging from Gabrieli to Hindemith. I especially love to do "show and tell" sessions at my concerts in order to engage my audiences further into the music and the history behind it, including information about playing techniques and stories about the composers.

I concertize on a wide variety of instruments and bows, including:
- Baroque cello
- Five-string Baroque cello
- Viola da gamba
- Modern cello
- Four different style bows - Baroque, early classical, classical and modern)

I attended Rutgers for my Bachelor's degree in cello; University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee for a Performer's Certificate and Master's in Chamber Music) and received a Performer's Diploma in Historical Performance from The Longy School of Music.
