About

Julie holds degrees from Curtis Institute of Music and Stanford University. As a cellist she studied with Aldo Parisot and David Soyer and as a chamber musician with numerous mentors, including Felix Galimir, Karen Tuttle, Gary Graffman, and Arnold Steinhardt. A competition winner, she has performed throughout North America, Brazil, and in Europe. As a soloist and collaborator, she is an active performer in various venues throughout New England and beyond and has performed as a soloist with the Longwood Symphony, Waltham Symphony Orchestra (with whom she also served as Principal Cellist), and the Menotomy Chamber Orchestra, and with the Boston Civic Symphony (as principal cellist), Brockton Symphony Orchestra (as principal cellist), Apollo Ensemble (as principal cellist), National Virtual Medical Orchestra, Boston Music Institute, Lyra Music Festival, the Ellipsis Chamber Players, Eleuthera Trio, and Duo Amie. Julie can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube.
