Buffi Jacobs, an accomplished modernistic cellist and composer, currently resides in New York City. She is known for delivering innovative performances and compositions. In 2007, Buffi joined the renowned band The Polyphonic Spree performing at notable international music festivals. During her tenure with The Polyphonic Spree, Buffi gained invaluable insights into the significance of orchestration, dynamics, and spatial awareness, realizing their profound impact on live performances and their ability to deeply resonate with listeners. The years Buffi spent touring with The Polyphonic Spree left an indelible mark on her artistic journey, profoundly shaping her development as a performer, composer, and curator of immersive musical experiences.
In recent years, Buffi embarked on a journey as a member of the national tour of the critically acclaimed musical "Hamilton" from 2018 to 2022. This transformative experience paved the way for her to become a regular substitute on Broadway.

"Solitary Contemplations," is a poignant collection of self composed solo cello looping compositions born out of the isolation experienced during the pandemic, and is visually enhanced by multimedia artist, Joel Olivas. The compositions in this collection deeply reflect her experiences during this challenging time, capturing a wide range of emotions and thoughts she faced while isolated in a city that was yet to feel like home. Including both original works and reimagined pieces, "Solitary Contemplations" provides a deep and introspective look into Jacobs' experiences of solitude during the pandemic.
