About

The Brooklyn String Quartet is an alternative acoustic ensemble imbuing new colours and sounds into the quartet format. Grounded in contemporary chamber music, the group brings sounds and techniques from their diverse backgrounds such as jazz Manouche, Irish fiddling, and flamenco.

Music

We like to perform music from the American songbook, music for film, and music that grooves. This includes works by contemporary composers including Max Richter, David Balakrishnan, Darol Anger, and Eugene Friesen.
