About

Aubrey Lauren is living out her dream of making art more accessible by fusing classical opera with the wonders of the digital era and proving every day that finding high-quality art is not limited to venues such as Carnegie Hall. She has completed her Bachelor’s under the guidance of Sunny Joy Langton at Northwestern University and is currently pursuing her Master’s of Opera Voice with Dr. Maya Sypert at the University of Hawaii, Mānoa. She spends much of her time exploring German-language music and various selections from American repertoire.

Music

I love performing art songs, and exploring how bring these pieces from the big stage and back into our living rooms. Historically, it was not unheard of to gather around the piano with our friends and family in order to perform for one another in the comfort of our own homes. I hope to continue singing in more intimate settings so that the audience may have a unique and personalized experience of classical music. The phrase that has followed me throughout my career has been "if there is no stage available, then make one!"
