Please join me and violinist Domenic Salerni, violist Carrie Frey, and cellist Raffi Boden for an evening of contemporary classical repertoire.

Guest arrival will begin at 7:00pm, with the music to start at 7:30pm.

Please be prepared to remove your shoes upon entering the apartment. I will provide light snacks. Please feel free to bring a bottle or cans of something nice to share.

What's the music?

This program is about people, and the spaces and environments they inhabit. Andrew Norman’s “A Companion Guide to Rome” was inspired by historical cathedrals in Rome — their forms, their saints, and the resonance of their interiors. Che Buford’s piece is an inward journey through the range of human emotions. And Kaija Saariaho‘s “Cloud Trio” takes us outside to experience the turbulence and tranquility of the sky.

Cloud Trio (2009) — Kaija Saariaho
the eye above the mask (2022) — Che Buford
